1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Your I Ching (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by an independent individual developer as an online-only service and does not maintain a public-facing business address. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

2. What the Service Is (and Is Not)

Your I Ching lets you ask a question and receive an I Ching reading: an upstream engine calculates a hexagram, and an AI model generates an English-language interpretation of it. The Service is offered for insight and personal reflection only.

The interpretations are AI-generated and do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. They are not a prediction or guarantee of any future outcome, and the Service does not predict the future. For medical, legal, financial, or other important decisions, always consult a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for how you choose to act on any reading.

3. Accounts

You can make your first casting without an account. To keep a history of your readings and to use additional free castings, you can create an account. Provide accurate information when you register and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Free Castings

The Service includes a free allowance so you can try it before paying:

• Anonymous visitors can cast 1 free casting per browser (tracked by an anonymous session cookie — see our Privacy Policy).
• A registered account can cast up to 3 free castings in total, with the first 5 follow-up questions on each reading.

Once your free allowance is used, additional castings and follow-ups require a paid unlock or an active subscription.

5. Paid Plans, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds

The following paid options are available:

• Deepen This Reading — $1.99 one time. Applies only to the current reading and raises its total to 20 follow-up questions. It does not include a new casting.
• Guidance — $9.90 per month. Includes 20 readings per billing month, each with up to 20 follow-up questions.
• Practice — $19.90 per month. Includes 50 readings per billing month, each with up to 50 follow-up questions.

Payments are handled by Waffo Pancake, which acts as Merchant of Record and payment processor, on its hosted checkout page; we never receive or store your card number. For a one-time purchase, you authorize Waffo Pancake to charge the amount displayed at checkout once. By starting a subscription, you expressly authorize Waffo Pancake to charge the selected Guidance fee of $9.90 or Practice fee of $19.90 each month on a recurring basis until you cancel.

The first billing cycle begins when successful payment is confirmed and lasts one month; each subscription then renews monthly until canceled. Paid access is delivered immediately after successful payment. Any applicable taxes are shown in checkout before you authorize payment. Monthly quotas reset each billing period and do not roll over.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation stops future monthly charges, and access continues through the end of the paid billing period. We email a reminder before renewal. One-time unlocks and subscription charges have a seven-day, no-reason refund policy, as described in our Refund Policy.

Payments are processed by Waffo.com Limited as merchant of record, and Waffo's buyer terms apply to each charge. Your I Ching also offers a 7-day, no-reason refund on every purchase.

6. Your Content and Ownership

You keep ownership of the questions you submit. You grant us the permission needed to operate the Service — to send your question to the interpretation engine, generate a reading, and store that reading in your history so you can return to it later. The Service's own text, design, and original interpretive writing remain our property; do not copy or resell them except as permitted by law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:

• Breaking any applicable law or infringing the rights of others
• Interfering with the Service or attempting to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems
• Circumventing the free-allowance limits or payment requirements

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

9. Term, Suspension, and Termination

These Terms remain effective while you use the Service. If you violate Section 7, materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if action is required by law, we may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the Service. Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will notify you and allow you an opportunity to correct the breach.

You are responsible for direct losses caused by your breach of these Terms or unlawful misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Termination does not limit any refund available under our Refund Policy or any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact us through the monitored support address on our About page so that we can attempt an informal resolution.

Unless mandatory consumer protection law requires another forum, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent People's Court where the site operator is domiciled.

11. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
